This could be a GREAT family-fun activity!!!!

When: The weekend of Saturday, Oct. 24^th & Sunday, Oct. 25^th

Why: To Benefit The St. Joseph’s Food Pantry

Where: YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD

With this being a virtual event this year, we are offering a couple ways that you can participate.

• You can collect pledges/donations:  Go to our St. Joe’s website and print out a pledge flyer.  Get some exercise by taking a walk and getting someone to sponsor you through a pledge.  We encourage you to only collect donations and pledges from your family, friends and neighbors you know.  Then you can drop off your donations and pledges to our parish office during office hours or during the food drop off time: Sun. Oct. 25^th 3-5 pm.

And/Or

• You can collect items that we need for our St. Joe’s Food Pantry. A flyer will be available for you to print out on our St. Joe’s website. Then, just take a walk and distribute the flyer to the neighbors and friends that you know. (make sure you make a list of the people you dropped off the flyer to.)  Then, on Saturday, the 24^th or Sunday, the 25^th, take another walk and pick up the items that your neighbors might want to donate.  Then you can drop them off to our St. Joe’s Food Pantry on Sunday, October 25^th from 3-5 pm.  The list of items needed will be used to fill our Thanksgiving bags for our food pantry families.

The list of food items needed is provided on the flyer.      

If you’d prefer not to drop off donation forms to friends and neighbors, please feel free to copy and paste this to an email and send it to them!

To help make this event successful~ WE need your help!

1. VOLUNTEERS:  Volunteer Boards are at the doors for you to sign up.
2. BAKED GOODS FOR OUR DESSERT TABLE:  calling all Ben &/or Betty Crockers to step for- ward and make us your home-made specialty:  pies, cookies, brownies, tarts!  *We would like all dessert items to please be dropped off on either Saturday, 10/26 between 9 am- 11 am or on Sunday, 10/27 from 9- 10:30 am at the Parish Center.  

3. RAFFLE GIFT CARD DONATIONS: We are looking for donations of gift cards for our raffle. Our Raffle Coordinators are:   Ellen McManus at 672-3799 or Linda McManus at 488-5988.
4. SCARECROW COMPETITION: Take a frame home to decorate for the competition!

Special Note about our raffle this year:  We don’t want to compete with the beautiful NCYC baskets and because the event is inside the Parish Center, we are looking for donations of gift cards/certificates ONLY. They could be to restaurants, hotels, golf, retail stores, etc.  If you would like to donate a gift certificate please feel free to drop it off at the parish office or contact our raffle coordinators.

SPECIAL NOTE:  If you’d like to make up a raffle basket to donate, our NCYC youth would love it!
Of course we plan to have all of the fun things, games & good foods that we have had in the past: 

Costume parade after 10:30am Mass. We invite all of our children or any of our adult children that would like to dress up & participate in our Halloween Costume Parade.  We just would like to offer a gentle reminder that this is a parishioner~family event with all ages.  We ask that all costumes be appropriate and not too scary or frightening.

We provide a bible story time & lesson, a craft, along with a snack/lunch and of course lots of fun activities.  Terri Condon, the Youth Minister at St. Charles-St. Ann’s and I have been busy planning and preparing for this terrific experience.  We absolutely LOVE working together with our high school youth and how wonderful it is to bring 2 parishes together; having our youth work side by side sharing our gifts, our blessings and our talents with the children of Brady.  What a message it sends to all!!

We are cutting back a bit this year but we do need a little help to make this happen.  Below is a list of items if you’d like to help us out with this great event.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

All items should be dropped off to the parish office by Thursday, July 11^th:

individual snack size bags of chips, individual snack size pretzel sticks, Capri sun drink bags, Goldfish, marsh mellows (large and small), jars of mayonnaise, individually wrapped slices of American cheese, individual size fruit cups, fruit snacks, small apples, grapes, clementine’s, and monetary donations are always so appreciated!!
