Marriage
“Heavenly Father, keep this couple always true to your commandments. Keep them faithful in marriage and let them be living examples of Christian life. Give them the strength that comes from the gospel so that they may be witnesses of Christ to others.”
The celebration of the Sacrament of Marriage is a covenant relationship with God. A covenant is more than a civil agreement, it is also religious in nature.
A minimum preparation process of six months would include both sessions with the priest who will be part of the celebration and a Marriage Preparation Seminar. The following topics would be addressed: the role of family and friends, future children, finances, communication skills, the practice of faith, and the ceremony itself.
Here at St. Joseph’s weddings are celebrated on Friday evenings or on Saturdays at 10 am, 12 pm, and 2 pm.
Weddings can also be performed outside!!
